Jason S. Armstrong

Chief Financial Officer, Comcast Corporation at comcast corporation

Jason Armstrong is Chief Financial Officer of Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ: CMCSA), promoted from Deputy CFO and Treasurer in January 2023. He oversees all financial functions across Comcast's Connectivity & Platforms and Content & Experiences segments and has been the public face of the Versant spinoff and Peacock's path to profitability.

Armstrong is the financial voice of Comcast at a structural inflection point. The CFO seat he inherited from Mike Cavanagh in January 2023 has, in three years, become the platform from which the company has narrated three concurrent stories to Wall Street: a connectivity business stabilizing after years of cord-cutting drag, a streaming business (Peacock) racing toward profitability on the back of NBA rights, and a cable-networks portfolio (Versant) that the company decided was healthier outside the parent than inside it.

His public posture on the Versant spin — that the cable networks were “either cash generating and permanently in support of the existing growth businesses, or they are separable” — has been the cleanest articulation Comcast has offered of how it is sorting its content portfolio post-streaming-wars. On the Q1 2026 earnings call he flagged the first year-over-year improvement in broadband net subscriber losses since Q4 2020, a number industry analysts had been waiting on for nearly six quarters.

For ad-buyers and platform operators, Armstrong matters because he sets the capital-allocation tone that funds Peacock’s content slate, NBCUniversal’s tech stack, and the post-Versant connectivity build-out — three of the largest discretionary budgets in U.S. media.
