About
The State of Streaming is a daily trade publication for Connected TV, streaming platforms, and advertising. Our audience is the practitioner: the buyer, seller, analyst, or operator who needs to know what changed and what it means for their next decision.
We publish 3–12 stories per weekday, with surges of 15–25 during major industry windows (NewFronts, Cannes Lions, Advertising Week, CES, M&A cycles, earnings windows). Sections we actively cover: Platforms, Advertising & Ad-Tech, Measurement & Data, Business & Deals, Content & Programming, Devices & Distribution, Policy & Regulation, plus Opinion and Quick Bites.

Editorial standards
Every factual claim in every published article resolves to a primary-source URL, listed in a sourced-claims ledger at the bottom of each piece. Sourcing is hierarchical (Tier 1 / Tier 2 / Tier 3) per our published ethics policy: Tier 1 leads any claim that has a Tier 1 source available; Tier 2 corroborates; Tier 3 supplements without substituting. Exclusive-to-publication scoops carry their original publication's attribution on every reference, including second reference. We do not launder other publications' scoops into our voice.
Quotes are verbatim. Off-the-record conversations are off-the-record. Press releases are not news — announcements get reported with independent context, attribution, and where possible corroboration. Vendor claims about their own products receive skeptical framing until independently verified.
Corrections are first-class. When we get a fact wrong, we correct the
article with a dated visible note, bump its Updated
timestamp, and publish the correction in our
corrections log.
Privacy posture
The site sets no cookies. No first-party cookies, no third-party cookies, no advertising cookies. Aggregate-only readership data via Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookieless, edge-resolved). No third-party scripts. The privacy notice is plain-language and GDPR / PECR / CCPA aware.
