Brian L. Roberts
Chairman and Co-CEO, Comcast Corporation at comcast corporation
Brian L. Roberts is Chairman and Co-CEO of Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ: CMCSA), which he has led since becoming CEO in 2002. Son of founder Ralph Roberts, he has served as president since 1990 and added the chairmanship in 2004. As architect of the NBCUniversal (2011) and Sky (2018) acquisitions, he shifted to a Co-CEO structure with Mike Cavanagh on January 2, 2026.
Brian Roberts is the second-generation steward of the company his father Ralph founded as a single-system Mississippi cable operator, and the architect of nearly every move that turned Comcast into a vertically integrated cable-broadband-content-and-theme-parks conglomerate. The 2026 transition to a Co-CEO structure with Mike Cavanagh, paired with the same-day Versant spinoff, marks the most significant reshaping of Comcast’s leadership and asset mix in more than a decade.
