Hisense Group Co., Ltd.

Hisense · SSE: 600060 · Qingdao, Shandong, China

Hisense is the Chinese consumer-electronics conglomerate headquartered in Qingdao that ranks among the top three TV manufacturers worldwide and owns the V smart-TV operating system (formerly VIDAA), which Omdia projects will overtake LG webOS by European shipments in 2026. V signed on with Nexxen as the first collaborator in The Trade Desk's Ventura Ecosystem in February 2026, putting Hisense at the center of the open-CTV-OS thesis.

Hisense matters to streaming buyers as a TV-OS owner first and a hardware brand second. The V platform — rebranded from VIDAA in 2025 — is the rare non-Korean, non-American smart-TV OS with global scale, powering more than 50 million connected devices and on track to pass LG webOS in Europe by 2026 shipments per Omdia. The Trade Desk’s decision to anchor its Ventura Ecosystem on V and Nexxen as first collaborators puts Hisense at the center of the open-CTV-OS thesis: an alternative to the closed Roku/Samsung/LG monetization stacks for advertisers who want programmatic access to native smart-TV inventory.

The corporate structure runs through three layers: the privately held Hisense Group parent in Qingdao, the Shanghai-listed Hisense Visual Technology (SSE: 600060) running the TV and display business, and VIDAA Inc. as the wholly-owned subsidiary that develops and licenses the V operating system. Chairman Jia Shaoqian succeeded Lin Lan in February 2023, the most recent generational leadership shift.
