Bill Wise
Co-Founder & CEO at mediaocean
Bill Wise is co-founder and CEO of Mediaocean, the ad-infrastructure platform that processes more than $200 billion in annual media spend. He has led the company since its 2012 formation from the merger of MediaBank and Donovan Data Systems, and previously served as President of Right Media through Yahoo's $850 million acquisition in 2007.
Wise is one of the longest-tenured CEOs in independent ad tech. He took the helm at MediaBank in 2010, became founding CEO of Mediaocean when MediaBank merged with Donovan Data Systems in 2012, and has remained in the role across the Vista Equity recap (2015), the Flashtalking acquisition (2021), and the Innovid acquisition that closed in February 2025. The State of Streaming tracks him primarily as a voice on independent ad infrastructure, agency-side workflow tooling, and the consolidation logic shaping the post-Google-Network ad-tech stack.
