Acxiom LLC
Acxiom · Conway, AR (with New York, NY operations)
People-based identity, data, and audience-targeting infrastructure provider. Founded in 1969 in Conway, Arkansas; sold to Interpublic Group in 2018 for $2.3 billion; now an Omnicom Group subsidiary following the November 2025 close of the Omnicom–IPG merger.
Acxiom is the data spine inside Omnicom. Originally founded in 1969 in Conway, Arkansas, as Demographics Inc., the company built one of the longest-running consumer-data businesses in marketing — predating digital advertising by several decades. Its modern relevance traces to a sequence of structural moves: the 2014 acquisition of LiveRamp, the 2018 carve-out in which Interpublic Group paid $2.3 billion for the Acxiom Marketing Solutions business while the residual onboarding business kept the LiveRamp name and went public as NYSE: RAMP, and the November 2025 close of Omnicom’s acquisition of IPG — which reassigned Acxiom from one holding company’s data engine to a larger one’s.
In 2024, IPG consolidated leadership of Acxiom and sister tech company KINESSO under Jarrod Martin, signaling that the holding company viewed identity, data, and engineering as a single stack rather than parallel businesses. That structure carried over into Omnicom’s post-merger architecture, where Acxiom’s people-based identity graph sits alongside Omnicom’s existing Omni platform as the combined entity’s audience-targeting backbone. For CTV and streaming buyers, Acxiom matters less as a standalone product brand and more as the infrastructure layer that determines which audience segments holding-company-bound spend can actually reach.
